How to Get Free Stuff Online without Paying a Penny

How to Get Free Stuff Online without Paying a Penny

send personalized handwritten cards - Frugal Reality

Free! The word free is the most popular word in advertising. It gets my attention every time. 24 ways on how to get free stuff online without paying a penny. Try sample products before spending buying at the store. Some companies even send full-sized sample products.

The companies, collectively, believe free samples increase sales. They are hoping you will enjoy and purchase it in the future. If you are satisfied with the product, then hopefully word of mouth will spread.

Believe it or not, there are loads of sites on how to order stuff online for free. Unfortunately, many of the best websites for free samples haven’t been updated in months or even years.

Below is an updated list on how to get free stuff online without paying a penny.

How to Get Stuff Online Without a Credit Card

If it’s really free, you shouldn’t need a credit card. Legit ways to get free samples offers from reputable sites shouldn’t ask for a credit card. If you don’t feel comfortable, it’s not worth taking the risk.

Remember, free trials are not the same as a free sample. Do not get tricked into risk-free trial requirements that insist on a credit card. They want to keep sending you additional “samples” in the future but charge you for it and hope you don’t remember to cancel on your credit card statement.

Free samples should only require necessary information like name and address.

Expect free stuff by mail to normally arrive within 4-10 weeks from completing your request.

Free Items Just Pay Shipping

Be aware of scams. The item is not free if it costs $4.99 for shipping. It’s worth the cost of shipping if you are getting a premium product.

If you’re unfamiliar with the cost of the item, then Google it and click the shopping tab. Also, try sites like Amazon.com and Wish.com to see if it’s legitimately a good deal.

Do not give your credit card number if the site sends you to an unfamiliar website that doesn’t look legit.

Free Stuff by Mail with No Surveys and No Catch

Be aware of scams. The item is not free if it costs $4.99 for shipping. It’s worth the cost of shipping if you are getting a premium product.

Most of the sites below offer free stuff by mail with no surveys and no catch.

The goal of the companies offering the freebies online:

  • Hope you will buy the product again
  • Post your experience on social media
  • It builds brand loyalty

There are hundreds of freebie websites, and many have been abandoned. Below, I list the best sites on how to get free stuff online without paying.

1. Free Stuff No Catch and No Gimmicks

Craigslist

Craigslist Free Stuff No Catch No Gimmicks Frugal Reality

Craigslist has an entire section of free stuff for sale with no catch. In most cases, the seller is merely looking for someone to carry the item out of their house. First, call a friend with a truck for large items like couches and furniture. The alternative is to rent a pickup truck from Home Depot.

How to find free stuff on Craigslist

Under the “for sale” section of Craigslist, it has an entire section, in every city, devoted to free stuff. I suggest using the search tools on the top and left of the page to help with your search. Type in keywords in the search bar set a maximum driving distance, or search by image.

OhYes Doctors Office Magazine Subscriptions Free Frugal Reality

Although, Oh Yes, It’s Free, is a simple looking site, it’s still unique. It’s unique in its offerings. Of the 10 deals on the homepage, I’ve never seen 8 of them on any competitors site. The same proved true on the second page where I only saw 2 similar offerings elsewhere.

The most clever deal I found was a free plastic ring sizer. Although it’s not a typical daily use item, it comes in handy now and then.

The site is handy for new parents under its free baby samples section. Also, for the free pet samples and freebies. Personally, I’m always a fan of free magazines. Their offerings range from home to health to money and food. You’ll have more free magazines than a doctor’s office in no time.

I personally find their sub-categories the most helpful. Under Coupons, they have a long list of restaurant BOGO offerings. Under the Money category, they list specific deals for stores like CVS, Rite Aid, Target, Walgreens, and Walmart.

My favorite category is their free movie screening passes. Some smaller budget films will only be in limited cities. If you’re looking for free movie screenings tickets near me, then you’ll have better luck with big budget films in larger cities.

what is Some Free Stuff Online That is Worth Trying Out

It’s all worth trying out since most of the listed sites above offer free stuff online.  If a manufacturer is willing to give away free samples or a Hollywood movie production offers you a free ticket, then take it.

There is no risk in trying something then not liking it afterward.

Of course, each manufacturer hopes you do like it and start buying it and also tell all your friends.
