Target’s Low Price Policy – THUMBS DOWN

I’m sure you’ve caught wind of the new deal at Target. (See the PressRoom info here.)They are now doing comp. ading. Naturally I was STOKED when I found this out. “WOOHOO , no more shopping at Wal-Mart!” I shouted when I saw the ad. I found out about this while on vacation in a place where Target store are hours away. Great, now I have to wait until I get home and go Wednesday. SO, when I finished my chores yesterday I made my list and off I went to Target. I was scoping out everything. Sorted all my different store out in my cart and headed to the check out. Again sorted it out on the convayer belt and told the girl those were comp items. She had not the first clue what I was talking about and called the manager over. The manager (who I’m not to fond of) explained the policy as far as paying for it all now and geting the refund at Customer Service. I was a little ticked b/c I spent ALL that time sorting and now I have to stand in another line with my now screaming 7mo old. UGHHH….. So I comply with the rules and go to check out. Now this lady tells me that they DO NOT comp. on produce! ARE YOU KIDDIN’ ME?!?!? Besides milk that was all I was comping! She explains it’s “brand item for brand item”. Well let me tell you (and I told her), a Fuji Apple is a Fuji Apple ALL DAY LONG. However, she didn’t see it this way and I had to void about $50 of produce off and now go to another store! As you can tell I am very frustrated with this new policy. And I’m sure you have assumed that I have emailed corporate concerning this and requesting a copy of the new policy. I will keep you updated as I get more info.
