Spring cleaning – part 1
I’m sure if you haven’t already you soon will be starting your “spring cleaning”. If you haven’t noticed the stores are starting to put more cleaners on sale and the inserts are having more coupons. I’m starting a Spring cleaning series. Some post have helpful lessons/tips, coupons, deals on products…. Here’s what we’ve discovered so far.
Lesson 1 – Do not wash your soap dispensers in the dishwasher. BAD IDEA! We had a kitchen FULL of bubbles! No matter if you think you’ve gotten all the soap out, there is mysteriously enough in there to flosd the kitchen. LOL!
Lesson 2 – Cleaner your vaccum. I couldn’t figure out why my vaccum was not sucking up everything. Then it dawned on me “I bet the canister is full.” Nope wasn’t it. Then I remembered that the reusable filter had not been washed in forever. That did the trick! It picked up everything!
Thrifty Tip 1- Don’t throw away your old lufa. Use it to scrub the tub! Works great and donesn’t scratch the finish. Plus saves money on bathroom cleaning specific products.
Thrifty Tip 2– Check the websites of cleaning product companies. I found several printable coupons the other day that were valued higher than the ones that came in the inserts.
Sales tip 1
Kroger has many Lysol products on sale this week 2/$4 and 2/$5. Use your $.50 (dbl) & $1 NIQ and be OOP $1-2 each for these cleaners.
