Meal Maker Challenge: Canjun Fried Turkey Sandwichs

August 25, 2010

In the mood to spice up your lunch box?  Try my Cajun Fried Turkey Sandwich.  For a healthy alternative replace your greasy potato chips with carrot chips!  Same crunchy fix with way less calories!

What you will need:

  1. HEB Bakery Fresh Italian Bread (picked up in a Combo Loco last week)
  2. Organic Cucumber (this way you can leave the skin on for more crunch)
  3. Flavored Ranch style Dressing (use instead of mayo for less calories/fat)
  4. Mixed Salad (more nutritional value than iceberg)
  5. Butterball Deep Fried Cajun Turkey Meat

How to do it:

Stack it up anyway you like. If you’re eating at home I recommend popping the bread in the toaster.

What do you think of those Farmhouse dressings? I don’t normally like Hidden Valley ranch (although ranch dressing is my favorite), but am way less picky when food is cheap. I picked up a couple of each variety when the $2 off coupon was out, but haven’t tried any of them yet.

PS. You could really use a subscribe option on these comments … I always have to remember to come back and look for an answer when I ask a question. 🙂
